Aims, contents and method of the course

Discussion of chemical aspects of environmental problems in their interdisciplinary context with an emphasis on the causal contributions of chemistry in creating environmental problems and its potential to contribute to their solution

Suggested topics:
- IPCC Climate Change Report 2023

- Water scarcity / Seawater desalination
- Endocrine disrupting chemicals (e.g. bisphenol A) in the environment
- Diskussion on the anthropocene
- Sustaining biodiversity
- Plastic waste in the environment

Presentations can be hold in German or English.
