Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Basic discussion of different analytical strategies and criteria for their assessment. Transducing chemical quantities in electrical data and digital acquisition and processing. The lecture focusses on fundamental electrochemical and optical procedures. The data obtained are subjected to error analysis by discussing the optimal criteria as the standard deviation and distribution curves.

Fundamentals of chromatographic and electrophoretic separation principles,

including their implementation into chromatography and electrophoresis analysis systems.

The fundamentals of potentometry, voltametry and of electrochemical sensores as well as their analytical application will be discussed.

Assessment and permitted materials

Each questionnaire consists of three parts. For passing the exam, you have to reach minimum 50% of the points in each of the three parts. It is not possible to repeat only failed parts.

Signing up is only allowed through uspace, as usual.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Basic insight into the assessment and the choice of analytical strategies.

Examination topics

Lecture. PowerPoint presentations distributed among students.
