Classes

This course is usually held during the winter semester, due to massive demand we managed to get it this summer semester as well.

Kick-off meeting / final planning of groups and schedule :3.3.2025 um 14 Uhr (moodle-zoom)
Proposed schedule:
Seminar f all 23.6.2025 um 10 hrs in UZA II Seminarroom 2C505
after that: work in groups of 3 according to plan until 11.7. ( one group has a final work on 16.7.)

Presentation of results: (moodle-zoom) on 18.7. (10.00; but flexible)

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

We will present and conduct three different methods, that can be used to evaluate the ecotoxicol potential of chemicals:
algal growth inhibition, fishcell test and a bacterial test for biodegradability.

Assessment and permitted materials

for evaluation the following parameters will be used:

participation
in-time submission of protcols
short oral presentation of the results

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Attendance of first unit is compulsory.

Final grades will be composed of
50% active participation
30% protocols
20% oral presentation of the results

Examination topics

Protocol and oral presentation proof the processing of the initial scientific problem.
