Aims, contents and method of the course

The most important prerequisite for efficient automated analysis of complex samples is the application of well performing separation techniques such as HPLC. Here the most important strategies for the establishment and optimisation of separation methods applicable to proteins, peptides and small molecules will be presented.

Assessment and permitted materials

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Learn how to deal with HPLC equipment including UV detectors and mass analysers.

Examination topics

practical application of experimental procedures starting from sample preparation, focussing on separation techniques and also considering quantification and identification methods.
