Modul Organische Chemie II
Last modified: Mo 07.09.2020 15:41
The objective of the course is to improve the participants' knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry. A series of 12 individual synthetic steps will be performed to illustrate and practice typical working methods, as well as separation and purification procedures like extraction, distillation, chromatography, crystallization, and performing reactions under absolute conditions. Control of purity and/or characterization of isolated products will be done by physical and/or spectroscopic methods. For selected examples a literature search, including on-line information retrieval will be performed with the aim to evaluate, adapt, and apply known synthetic procedures.
