Aims, contents and method of the course

(1) Basics: digital data and files, data conversion analogue/digital, concepts of hard- and software
(II) Manipulation of numeric digital data sets, smoothing, fitting and other numeric methods
(III) "data in reciprocal spaces": FFT, digital filtering
(IV) Applications: data acquisition and evaluation - control of measurements - regulation
(V) Quality Assurance: concepts and implications
