Aims, contents and method of the course

Modulziele: Die Studierenden können die wichtigsten Grundlagen, Regeln, Methoden und Anwendungen der Stratigraphie benennen und erklären. Die Studierenden haben Kenntnisse über plattentektonische Grundlagen, Paläo-Kontinentanordnungen, Gebirgsbildungen und Geo-Events und sind in der Lage, einen Überblick über die Erdgeschichte zu geben. Sie besitzen Kenntnisse in der regionalen Geologie, vor allem des geologischen Aufbaus von Österreich. Diese Kompetenzen wurden anhand von Demonstrationsmaterial und geologischen Karten vertieft.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Mitarbeit, gesamt positive Teilleistungen > 50 Punkte bei 5 Teilleistungen (schriftlich und/oder mündlich mit Übungsmaterial jeweils 20 Punkte)

Examination topics

Methoden der Stratigraphie (1. Teiltest), Regionale Geologie von Europa und Österreich (2. Teiltest), Übungen an Gesteinsbeispielen und geologischen Karten (weitere Teiltestungen)
