The magnetic and geoelectric methods have undergone a rapid development during recent years thus representing now one of the most important methods for investigation of shallow structures and monitoring within the field of applied environmental geophysics. This course gives an introduction to the theoretical basics of these two methods. Further on applied aspects, like planning of surveys, measurements, data processing, interpretation and modelling are discussed in detail on an up-to-date level. Further topics: 3D/2D measurements, topographic corrections, borehole measurements, sensitivity analysis, geoelectrical monitoring, NMR, spectral induced polarisation, self potential, forward modelling, inversion.
