Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The students are familiar with the interplay betwenn the biosphere and the geosphere. They know the factors through which living organisms have influenced the conditions on Earth and vice versa. They have acquired fundamental knowledge of the physiology, metabolism and diversity of prokaryotes as well as the most common cultiviation and analytical techniques. The students are familiar with current scenarios of the origin of life, its requirements and limitations and its evolution during early Earth history, from unicellular to multicellular organisms.
Assessment and permitted materials
Evaluation consists of three partial examinations:
1. Part: written exam
2. Part: written exam
