Aims, contents and method of the course

Die Sammlungen des Geologischen Archivs der Universität Wien.
Der geowissenschaftliche Fortschritt im 18., 19. Jahrhundert und seine historische Bedeutung. Die historische Entwicklung und die Etablierung der Disziplinen Mineralogie, Geologie, Petrographie und Paläontologie an der Universität Wien.
Historische Werkzeuge, deren praktischer Einsatz im Gelände und Labor werden anhand von Sammlungsobjekten erörtert.
Studium geohistorischer Dokumente und Literatur.
Lektüre und Interpretation historischer Quellen.
Die Inhalte werden via internet transportiert.
