Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The student will learn about surface properties, analytical techniques for analyzing surfaces, sorption behaviour, and the mechanisms controling processes taking place at environmental surfaces and interfaces, including adsorption, dissolution and (co)-precipitations. Processes will be discussed in context of contaminants and nutrient's fate and transformation in the environment.

Assessment and permitted materials

Students will be evaluated by four written short tests, each accounting for 25%. Depending on the university closer owing to global pendemic, one or more tests can be conducted via moodle.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Students require at least 50% of the total amount of points they can earn with the short test and the assignment to pass the course.
