Aims, contents and method of the course

The lectures cover the physiscal basics of galactic and extragalactic phenomena. Starting with spiral galaxies the dynamics of stellar systems is analyized, alsoto understand the properties of elliptical galaxies. Later clusters of galaxiesas well as garviational lenses will be discussed.
