Aims, contents and method of the course
*IMPORTANT NOTE* Lectures and exercise sessions take place online until the end of the semester.The exercise sessions complement the lecture course on micrometeorology and aim at strengthening the students' knowledge of the subject by: (1) Developing simple toy models (Python codes) of relevant processes; (2) Reading, summarizing and presenting relevant scientific literature. Attendance of the corresponding lecture course is strongly recommended.
Assessment and permitted materials
Mini tests (10-minute quizzes at the beginning of each session): 30%
Code produced during sessions: 40%
Summary and presentation of one piece of scientific literature: 30%
Attendance is mandatory at all sessions. Absences due to illness have to be justified on the basis of a medical certificate.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Overall student performance is summarized in a percent score (100% = perfect performance). Grades are attributed according to the following scheme:
88% < score ≤ 100%: 1
75% < score ≤ 88%: 2
62% < score ≤ 75%: 3
50% < score ≤ 62%: 4
score ≤50%: 5
88% < score ≤ 100%: 1
75% < score ≤ 88%: 2
62% < score ≤ 75%: 3
