Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

We investigate all aspects related to mountain meteorology and the influence of mountains on the atmospheric circulation. Topics may include lee cyclogenesis, lee troughs, foehn flows, boundary layer and gravity waves.

Assessment and permitted materials

Semesterarbeit bzw. Semestervortrag.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Ziel ist der Erwerb eines Grundverständnisses über die meteorologischen Prozesse in Gebirgsregionen.
