Aims, contents and method of the course
**IMPORTANT NOTE** The development of Covid-19 during the upcoming semester cannot be foreseen at the moment. If new restrictions are introduced, the planned lecture schedule, the administration of exams and the mode of evaluation may have to be adapted. Students will be informed as soon as possible about any changes that may become necessary.The exercise sessions complement the lecture course on alpine meteorology and aim at strengthening the students' knowledge of the subject by: (1) Developing simple toy models (Python codes) of relevant processes; (2) Reading, summarizing and presenting relevant scientific literature. Attendance of the corresponding lecture course is strongly recommended.

Overall student performance is summarized in a percent score (100% = perfect performance). Grades are attributed according to the following scheme:
88% < score ≤ 100%: 1
75% < score ≤ 88%: 2
62% < score ≤ 75%: 3
50% < score ≤ 62%: 4
score ≤50%: 5
88% < score ≤ 100%: 1
75% < score ≤ 88%: 2
