Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Students will gain theoretical basic knowledge about the dynamics of continuous systems, especially the equations of compressible hydrodynamics, sound and shock waves, linear instabilities, as well as accretion phenomena, and will be introduced to plasma physics and magnetohydrodynamics. Important concepts of electrodynamics are reviewed again.
Assessment and permitted materials
The total number of points is 100 and they are split as follows,
25% first exam, 25% second exam
25% for submission of enough substantially worked on exercises, 25% for presentationsAt least 67% of the exercises have to be gekreuzt (i.e. substantially worked on) and uploaded (empty submissions not counted).
During the exercise sessions each student will have to make black board presentations (multiple during the course, showing how they arrived at the solution)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
At least half of the points must be reached (>50%) to pass.
