Aims, contents and method of the course
IRAF is the Image Reduction and Analysis Facility, a general purpose software system for the reduction and analysis of astronomical data. The VU handles the most common tools of IRAF, from installation to its use at the Hubble Space Telescope.
Assessment and permitted materials
The grade is made up of:
- Presentations of IRAF-packages (40%)
- Written script of the presented IRAF commands (30%)
- Attendance (30%)
