Aims, contents and method of the course

Aims : Acquirement of methods and analysis tools for non-linear
phenomena found in Astronomy

Content : Non-linear dynamical systems, perturbation theory, numerical simulation of chaotic systems, stability and chaos in non-linear dynamical systems of celestial mechanics

Method : Lecture with media support and in-depth exercises

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam at the end of the summer term

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Basic knowledge of astronomy and celestial mechanics, mathematical physics
