Seminar in Human Geography/Regional Geography: Population Policies, Family Planning Programs and Social Welfare Strategies in Asia - Concepts, Strategies, ProblemsAim of this course is to discuss various aspects of the enormous demographic transformations taking place in most parts of Asia such as declining fertility, rapidly aging societies and - as a consequence - shrinking labour forces and an increasing demand of (temporary?) labour migrants. The second focus of the course is on the programs implemented to deal with the (current and future) consequences of fertility decline, rapid ageing of many Asian populations and the rise in international migration in Asia.ECTS-Punkte (ECTS credit points): 6
