Aims, contents and method of the course
The Bachelor Seminar deals with selected current themes of urban and regional planning. It aims at critical understanding of chances and limitations of planning strategies on local and regional levels. Examples are current challenges like climate change, demographic change, sustainable transport, migration, urban sprawl etc. Urban and regional planning has to cope with those challenges trough developing effective strategies.
Assessment and permitted materials
Each participant has to give an oral presentation (20-25 min. + discussion) and a written seminar paper.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Weight of achievements: Oral presentation and discussion 40%, written seminar paper 60%.
