Aims, contents and method of the course
In the seminar students will deal with contemporary issues in spatial planning and development. The seminar aims to trigger critical thinking and the understanding of spatial planning and its scope of action. Thematic focus: sustainable development, its (different) meanings and applications in Regional and Planning Studies.
Assessment and permitted materials
Each participant has to give an presentation (15min audioPPT + forum discussion) and a written seminar paper (circa 20 pages). The participants will get the chance to choose from different themes to prepare their assignments. The seminar prepares the students for an independent preparation of a bachelor thesis.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Weight of achievements: Oral presentation and discussion 35%, written seminar paper 45%, 20% active participation;
Examination topics
Individually; according to topic.
