Aims, contents and method of the course

The critical reflection with several aspects of the regional dynamics in the Slovakia is the main aim of this field trip; in particular, the key terms "metropolization" and "peripheralization" are the thematic focus of this course. The students shall learn about regional structures and processes; based on these experiences the students should learn to reflect and discuss about geographic concepts and theories.

Assessment and permitted materials

Proseminar: seminar work, presentation, proactive participation
Field trip: Proactive participation on the field trip, contributions to meetings and discussions, submission of a final report.
