The aims of the project seminar are therefore that the participants, after successful completion of the course:
- Know and have applied strategies and approaches to develop, from a research topic, a research design;
- are able to successfully develop and implement a research design for their own research projects after jointly developing and critically reflecting on it;
- be able to assess the quality of a (own or other) research design;
- have tested and deepened specific methods of qualitative data collection and analysis and are able to apply them successfully in their own studies.The project seminar will be based primarily on case study and action-based learning, i.e. participants will work on problems in groups, develop aspects of a research project and apply selected qualitative methods for data collection and analysis in this project.
Note: the project seminar serves to complement and deepen the exercise "290064-1 UE Key Methods in Analysing Migration and Population Dynamics (2024S)" and can only be attended in conjunction with it.
