Aims, contents and method of the course

scientific working as a process, criteria of scientific quality, scientific lapse; literary investigation; reading and learning techniques, preparation for and situation of an examination; producing treatises: structure and design, scientific writing, citing correctly (references)

Assessment and permitted materials

intermediate examination, final examination, written working tasks, participation in discussion

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The students will be made aware of the necessity of scientifically correct behaviour, be familiarized with several techniques of scientific working and be enabled to produce treatises on their own.

Examination topics

lecture (partly with discussion) in the lecture room; independent reading of selected texts and preparing written working tasks
