Aims, contents and method of the course
Didactical implementation of economic theory using selected topics of economic policy: analysis of economic policy with reference to economic science.Economics in Austrian curricula. Selecting and developing educational objectives, competencies and basic concepts. Didactical implementation for various age-groups, production of teaching material.Topics: Market and market-failure, monetary policy, fiscal policy and the business-cycle, income distribution and the possible role of the state, trade policy.
Assessment and permitted materials
Attendance required (an absence of up to three classes will be tolerated). Serveral written and oral performances are mandatory.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Revision of economic theory, didactical implementation
Examination topics
Case-studies, group work, debates, production of teaching material, excursions
