Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

"Asia’s fifth tiger” … "A new dragon" … "world leader in economic growth", etc. are only some of the superlatives with which the socio-economic development of Thailand has been greeted in the 1980ies in press reports as well as in specialised economic publications. Today, only a quarter century later, the former economic champion of Southeast Asia has become Southeast Asia's most recent (potential) problem case. What went wrong with Thailand’s socio-economic miracle?
