290115 PS Preparatory Course for the Scientific Excursion - USA: Growth and Decline of US-american Cities (2007W)

US-american cities show both sign of decline and growth more distinct and pronounced than European one. This is linked to dominance of the liberal market and the absence of an intervening policy. In the seminar examples of growing and declining cities will be analysed and the root causes and consequences presented. An excursion to the USA will succeed in the summer semester.
