290129 SE Seminar in Economics (Macroeconomics) (2018W)

This seminar will enable students to better understand the most important economic concepts in international economics. The seminar papers and presentations in class will particularly focus on recent developments in international economic policy like trade agreements, trade sanctions, disintegration of the EU, the economic crisis of the EU etc. The seminar consists of papers written by pairs of students (group of 2) and presented in class. The paper and presentation should give a comprehensive overview of the topic, comprising the research question and results as well as (policy) conclusions. The benchmark for the length of the presentation should be 30 minutes, the paper should comprise 10-15 pages. Furthermore, students should participate in general discussions of the selected topics which requires reading of additional material.
