Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture series focuses on transformation processes in Central Europa around 1989. Topics are postsocialism and rural transformations. Thereby, research on migration, as well as on political and economic actors and institutions is done within a broader context of cultural studies. Another main field of interest are transformations of the cultural field in a narrow sense, on the development of different avant-gardes and literatures.
