Aims, contents and method of the course

The interplay between the abiotic and biotic environment and the integrative function of Landscape Ecology ar contents of the lecture. The causes for the differentiation of the biosphere and its spatial and temporal components ar at the core of the course. The lecture provides a theoretical basis for field wirk in Biogeography and Landscape Ecology.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The aim is:
- to teach the interdependency of abiotic and biotic systems
- to impart basic knowledge of processes in space and time
- to teach methods of landscape ecology

Examination topics

All lectures will be supported by slides. The slides and the supporting materials, which will be pointed out in the lecture, will be accessible via moodle and are content of the exam.
