It is the aim of this advanced level lecture to get to know the most important approaches to Ecosystem Theories. In a first step, systems theoretical, thermodynamic, and ecological basics will be treated. Then, the role of catastrophes, successions, dynamics and ecosystem health will be discussed. Also, the role of goal functions will be addressed.
This lecture is appropriate for students with knowledge and interest in natural sciences.ECTS credit points: 2.0
