Aims, contents and method of the course
The aim of this advanced level seminar is to understand the most important matter and energy cycles, their quantification and spatial differentiation. In a first step system interactions and system traits are discussed, already referring to matter flows. Further the most important global matter cycles and matter balances are presented. The second step focus on selected aspects and deals mainly with the spatial and temporal differentiation of matter flows and cycles as well as methodological aspects.
