Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In addition to the classic creation of editorial plans, editorial work in the GIS area increasingly includes finding, checking and evaluating a wide variety of data sources as well as the corresponding editing of these bases for cartographic products (analog / digital).
The course is intended to give students an insight into practical editorial work in the GIS area. In addition to the use of specialist knowledge imparted in other courses, the ability to examine and evaluate different data sources as well as the consideration of legal (copyright, competition law, data protection etc.) and economic framework conditions is central.

The main focus in the area of cost accounting is to be able to interpret the figures provided by the accounting department in the production process, to use them for product design and to be able to control the production process accordingly.
For this purpose, the fundamentals of cost accounting are part of the lecture including practical price calculations using specific case studies.

Applied teaching methods: interactive lessons including discussion based on specific case studies, practical exercises.
