In addition to the use of specialist knowledge imparted in other courses, the ability to examine and evaluate different data sources as well as the consideration of legal (copyright, competition law, data protection etc.) and economic framework conditions is central. The main focus in the area of cost accounting is to be able to interpret the figures provided by the accounting department in the production process, to use them for product design and to be able to control the production process accordingly.
