Aims, contents and method of the course

Project Seminar: Vienna City Guide Emphasizing Environmental Factors, Part I

Perequisite: as designed for MSc Programme "Theoretical and Applied Geography". Corequisite: Complimentary Field Class to the Project Seminar "Vienna City Guide Emphasizing Environmental Factors (class number 290 190)
Intent of course: Introduction to the methodology of preparing a city guide with emphasis on environmental factors. Selected city guides will be evaluated in terms of vocabulary, design and research sources. Students will be expected to design a prospectus of their own environmental guide. This guide will be completed in part II of the project seminar (summer term 2006).
Nature of examination: There will be no formal scheduled examination. Marks for the course will be based on written and oral performance during class time.
