Introduction into basic questions and the didactic concept of the subject "Geography and Economics" resp. "Economic Geography"
The role of the course plays within the set of subjects at AHS/BHS; the curricula of the schoolsubject "Geography and Economics" resp. "Economic Geography" (educational and teaching theories, didactic principles, curricula of the respective subjects); the development of educational objectives; the basic of didactics and main theories; the most important theories of didactics relevant for "Geography and Economics" resp. "Economic Geography", focussing on goals, topics and themes, student work and economy; the correlation between "Geography and Economics" resp. "Economic Geography" and "Poitische Bildung"; different ways of instructing - the main concepts; the relation between "Geography" - "Economics" - "Economic Geography"; job orientation and key qualifications - to what degree are contents and methods influenced by current economy? "Geography and Economics" resp. "Economic Geography" and the concept of key targets according to W. Klafki: chances and risks; the schoolsubject "Geography and Economics" resp. "Economic Geography" - cooperation with other subjects (bilingual teaching, topic relates areas); topography in topic-related learning; different concepts of space in "Geography and Economics" resp. "Economic Geography": vicinity versus distance, "artifically created space", perception of spacial structures, aspects of dimension, and social relevance; recent developments in the teaching of "Geography and Economics" resp.
