Aims, contents and method of the course
Students have basic knowledge of the components of the climate system and their interactions and time scales. Students will also acquire basic knowledge of hydrology.Contents include:Earth system components, their interactions and time scales, global energy balance, energy transports, large scale atmospheric circulation, hydrologic cycle, ocean and ocean circulation, internal variability, anthropogenic climate change, past climate states, climate modeling, regional hydrology, groundwater, surface waters, ecohydrology, hydrological extremes, hydrological methods and applications.Method: Lecture
