Aims, contents and method of the course

The focal points and central goals of the excursion are the following:
- regional development and transborder cooperation on the SE-rim of the Alps (West-Hungary, Slovenja, Venezia Giulia).
- the concept of "landscapes of hope" after DAVY 2004. Based on the concept future possibilities in landscape planning and regional development will be stressed.
- aspects of behavioural and regional geography regarding the three austrian border countries Hungary, Slovenja and Italy.
During the excursion different places of transboundary cooperations will be visited. E.g. Sarrod, Köszeg, Szentgotthard, Kuzma, Nova Gorica/Gorizia, Sezana/Trieste . Additional in situ discussions with experts will be held.
