Aims, contents and method of the course

This course gives a deeper insight in the role of vegetation science in Physical Geography. The topical focus lies on vegetation- environment relations as well as on the relevance of vegetation as an expression of abiotic and biotic location factors. Also practice-oriented vegetation mapping techniques and methods of analysis will be taught.
