Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course offers the principles of spatial reference systems and map projections. Spatial reference is a fundamental characteristic of geodata. This reference can be represented and visualized in various ways. The following subjects will be treated: shape and size of the earth, reference spheroids, coordinate systems, theory of distortion, mathematical principles of map projections, major map projections.
