Gaining professional skills in elaborating, presenting and reflecting critical on a selected research topic (e.g. master thesis).Content:
The course will identify and elaborate major themes at the research frontier of geomorphology.Methods:
Participants will present their scientific aspirations, concepts and results in 20 min presentations. The works will be discussed regarding general questions, scientific relevance and importance for geomorphology. Furthermore, staff will report on conference participations and effects of latest research on geomorphology as a whole, the Engage working group and single projects and theses.Participants may also report on relevant topics to which they have been introduced at conferences, which they have attended and will discuss these in terms of their importance for geomorphology in general, for the Vienna Geomorphology Group within Physical Geography and for individual degree programmes. All interested graduates, post-graduates, tutors and teaching assistants are invited to participate.Oral presentations, discussion
