Aims, contents and method of the course

„Social Protection“ has become agrowing area of research and policy in recent years. A growing number of policy and scientists has been arguing recently that „Social Protection“ has increasingly become a new development paradigm comprising much more than the traditional approaches of social security and poverty alleviation.
Aim of this course is a critical discussion of key concepts and recent social protection programmes on a global scale.
