Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course focuses on how different sources of knowledge, models of innovation and networks at various geographical scales affect regional development paths. More specifically, concepts such as knowledge spillovers and flows, knowledge bases, modes of innovation, national and regional innovation systems, local buzz and global pipelines, etc. will be introduced and examined in-depth. Various theoretical perspectives and case studies will be presented during the course with the aim of providing students with stimulating insights on the spatial and relational dimensions of innovation dynamics.
