Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar aims to familiarize students with climate change adaptation as a way to deal with current and future climate change related pressures. Focus will be on the human side of climate change and we will work with policy and management related approaches, instruments and concepts in governing adaptation. Throughout the course we will familiarize with key concepts and look into climate adaptation strategies in both in urban and rural contexts. Students are expected to work with the readings provided and we will dive into some of the debates related to the current opportunities and limitations of climate change adaptation in our discussions.

The following requirements must be fulfilled in order to pass the course:

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Attendance in at least 80% of the course sessions.The overall grade for the class will consist of an in class presentation of the research topic and the research question (10%), a written peer-feedback (10%), an in class presentation of the revised research proposal (20%), an in class presentation of the research results (20%) and a written term paper (40%). All assignments have to be passed individually in order to pass the course. An assignment is passed with a minimum grade of 4.Grading scheme:100 - 87,5 % - grade 1
