Aims, contents and method of the course

Basic principles and concepts of Behaviour Biology are presented. In addition, the application of techniques are shown from ecology and evolution to behavioral physiology and cognition in species from ants to humans.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The goal is to demonstrate the diversity of scientific approaches in the study of animal behavior, ranging from classical analyses of behavioral patterns to molecular determination of behavioral predispositions.
