Aims, contents and method of the course
The lecture will be held online only in the wintersemester!The lecture is provided for students of the second part of all branches of study in Biology but also provided in Computer Science , Landscape Planing and Geography.Content: This lecture will introduce students to GIS principles and the fundamental GIS concepts. The different topics include spatial data properties, spatial data models and data structures, data collection and transformation, data manipulation. The lecture aims to show the students the important role of Spatial Analysis in all the different fields of environmental analysis, landscape planing, conservation biology and accordingly its human dimension.
