Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Evaluation is based on attendance and participation (70%) and completion of homework assignments (30%). Attendance is required: one absence (excused or unexcused) will be allowed before your grade is affected, and you must attend at least 7 class meetings in order to earn a passing grade.There will be weekly reading and homework assignments, some of which will include a written assignment to be collected in class. These will be graded and will account for 30% of the final mark.

Course activities will include online literature searching, reading scientific papers, understanding the reasoning and logic in a scientific presentation, writing various kinds of research reports, and informal speaking on topics from the literature.
