Aims, contents and method of the course

Students will get an overview over the following topics:
1. Genetically modified organisms (GMO);
2. Animal ethics: Animal Protection Law, Animal keeping guidelines; Experiments in animals, Journal guidelines, Alternatives to animal experiments;
3. Eco-ethics: Species extinction, Ecological footprint, Climate change;
4. Medical ethics: Use of humans in biomedical experimentation, Reproductive medicine - In-vitro-fertilisation (IVF), Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), Stem cells research; Passive and active Euthanasia.

Assessment and permitted materials

Multiple Choice-Prüfung mit 40 Fragen; ausschließlich Präsenzprüfungen.
Beschränkte TeilnehmerInnenzahl pro Termin.
Bitte Prüfungsanmeldefrist beachten. Sie endet 1 Woche vor der Prüfung.

Im Studienjahr stehen 4 Termine zur Verfügung.
