Aims, contents and method of the course

Five components add up to the overall grade:1. For the theoretical part there will be an online quiz available in Moodle from beginning of Nov till the end of Semester2. For the practical part you have to upload all 3 assignments (Moodle)3. You also have to attend the live meetings and work on exercises during that time. All Exercises have to be uploaded in moodle.

That means that most of the study time is self study and you have to make sure that you schedule enough time for working on the assignments and the theory! The Wednesday live Classes are mandatory!This computer-based course is provided for all students who deal with spatial data, mapping and spatial analyses.Content: In this course you will develop basic and practical skills of handling spatial data in a specific GIS environment (QGIS - actual version).Main topics will be:

* stable internet connection
*Laptop or Mac (Smartphone or Tablet are not sufficiant!)
