Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture gives an introduction in different methods and approaches for habitat mapping in Central European landscapes (Agricultural landscapes, Urban landscapes).
Regional differences in landscape character and related nature conservation aspects.
Evaluation of the actual and desirable state of habitats and landscapes.
Description of biotope/habitat types and recommendations for landscape management.
