Aims, contents and method of the course
In this course pre-service biology teachers get a theoretical and practical introduction into project based learning in connection with field biology. The thematic frame is wetlands, birds and amphibians. Within the course the pre-service teachers will develop and carry out a school project in cooperation with the students of a secondary school class and reflect on their experiences.

- Gaining theoretical and practical knowledge on project based learning in connection
with field biology (within the thematic frame: wetlands, birds and amphibians)
- Developing and applying the method of project based learning within a school
- get to know and apply different approaches to inquiry based science education
- Practicing the reflective skills to further the professional development
- Learning to work in a Community of Practice with the aim to further the professional development
